Founder of Concentric Performance

Bill Thomas is the managing principal of Centric Performance, a consulting and training firm that helps companies to improve their profitability and growth with business-driven HR practices. He has 25 years of experience in the areas of human resources, organizational development, total quality management, and operations management. Prior to founding Centric Performance, he had national and global human resources responsibilities with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Dell Computers, respectively.

Bill was the co-architect of PwC’s national total quality management project, and played a key leadership role in Dell Computers’ Quality Customer Experience initiative. For 10 of his years at PwC, he was also responsible for managing division-level profit and loss. In addition to leading traditional human resources functions and strategies, he has led various business transformation efforts including mergers & acquisitions, building customer-centric cultures, business restructurings, business unit integrations, customer-supplier workouts, business and human resource process redesigns.

Bill’s consulting projects have included such organizations as American Public Power Association, Baker Hughes International, Baylor University, Deloitte, Marriott International, Medrad, Inc, Ohio Bell, SBC, The Texas State Auditor’s Office, the University of Texas, and others.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business, a master’s degree in human resources and labor relations, and holds his SPHR certification from The Society for Human Resource Management’s Certification Institute. He has served as an adjunct college instructor and is a long-standing member of The American Society for Quality (ASQ) and SHRM—having served SHRM in top leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels. He is a nationally-recognized speaker and author whose work has been featured in CEO magazine, Executive Excellence, Quality Progress, Human Resource Executive magazine, Human Resources Advisory, and others.
